A family holiday

We have two young children who like to think of the farm as their playground! There's always a new adventure in the offing - a hike up the hill to see the sea, a picnic by one of our wildlife ponds, or getting dirty playing in the woods. In particular, they love exploring one of the hidden holloway footpaths - clambering over fallen logs along an ancient sunken track, with a carpet of ivy criss-crossed by animal paths, and twisted ancient trees.

To keep them safe, we don't allow cars on our Quiet Camping Field, so you can let your little ones run free through the long grass. There's also safe cycling along an old cattle track behind the dairy.

If they love animals, hiring one of our camera traps is a must. Find a suitable spot to set it up, leave it overnight and see what you've caught on film the next day! We can point you to some good spots where you're likely to get night-time footage of badgers, foxes, deer - or maybe even an elusive polecat!

In the washing-up hut, you'll find activity sheets for your young explorers - can they find the bugs, birds and wildflowers?

During the summer holidays we'll also be opening our sunflower maze; spend an hour or two wandering the pathways through the golden flowers!
